Get to know more about Tammy in our Q&A below!
1. What inspired you to take the next step from working in the F&B industry to getting your sommelier designation?
While managing a restaurant I realized I didn’t have the knowledge of wine, so I decided to take the first course of sommelier training…I liked it so much that I finished it and got certified! 2. What's the best part of being a sommelier?
The best part is educating people about this fascinating subject! 3. Do you have a go-to beverage?
No go-to.. it all depends on my mood, weather and the food I will be eating. I appreciate all types of beverages, from scotch, to beer, to wine. 4. How about your favourite summer food and beverage pairing?
A great French Languedoc style rosé with rustic pate and terrines. 5. What do you think ChefTorial clients should know about what you'll bring to the experience?
I bring a level of fun education that the clients can understand and make them excited to try new things by explaining the difference in wine and food pairings. There's so much to learn with wine and not one person knows everything!
